BULLFROG

The Name Bullfrog (Kane) has become associated with Bullfrog Marina at Lake Powell, but it was a local moniker long before the Glen Canyon Dam was built. Bullfrog Creek (named, of course, for all the frogs in the creek) originates in the Henry Mountains and winds around until it drops down into the Colorado River---now Bullfrog Basin in Lake Powell. The marina was constructed in conjunction with the dam in the 1960s.
