EAST LAYTON

East Layton (Davis) is one and one-half miles east of Layton. The town was formerly a part of Layton from which it received its name. It has since become an important residential community for nearby Hill Field Air Base. On Tuesday, January 13, 1981, East Layton was signed out of existence and absorbed into Layton.
