History of Factory Farm, Utah
Taken from the Utah Place Names. (Links Added)

Hidden Lake (Kane) is in Long valley one-half mile north of the mouth of Lydias Canyon and two miles north of Glendale. A wooden factory was built there in 1882 as part of the United Order program and it was called the Factory Farm. The people who worked in the factory lived nearby. Baptisms were conducted in the lake. Later the name of the lake became Hidden Lake because of its solitary location as part of a recreation site.
