HOYTSVILLE

Hoytsville (Summit) is midway between Coalville and Wanship. It was first known as East Plymouth, then Unionville, because the people united here in time of Indian troubles. In 1875 the name was changed to Hoytsville honoring Samuel P. Hoyt.
