History of Lapoint, Utah

LAPOINT

Lapoint is a small agricultural community on U-121 fourteen miles north of Roosevelt. It was originally named Taft to honor U.S. President William Howard Taft. The present name reflects its location on a southern spur of the Uinta Mountains.
