SUGARVILLE

Sugarville (Millard) is a small community northwest of Delta. The early settlers named it Omaha for Omaha, Nebraska. It later became Alfalfa because the grazing plant grew so well in the region. As the sugar industry developed and the sugarbeet crop became successful, the name was changed to Sugarville.
